The David Deal collection included speeches, financial reports, correspondence, Asian Studies program planning, Whitman in China trip planning, itineraries, receipts, and communications with universities in China. The collection spans the years 1966 to 2001.

Professor Keith Farrington served in many different capacities while at Whitman, including faculty chair, chair of division 1, and director of the Center for Teaching and Learning. The Farrington papers date from 1970 to 2005 and include budget documents, policies and codes, meeting minutes, and memoranda. Areas of possible interest to researchers include academic programs and curriculum.

Craig Gunsul was a professor of physics at Whitman from 1969 to 2004. The collection contains two volumes of Craig Gunsul's opinion column in the Whitman College Pioneer, "The Whale," published from 1990 to 2004.

L.P. Howland was a professor of physics at Whitman from 1965 to 1994. His papers contain materials relating to Howland’s work serving on various committees and boards at Whitman College in the years 1965 to 1979, including meeting minutes from the Academic Council and the Board of Review, information regarding curriculum improvement, budgets, schedules, memos, and correspondence.

David Stevens ‘47 taught in the economics department of Whitman College from 1951 to 1998. The David Stevens papers contain speeches which examine issues related to a liberal arts education, given at various events from 1956 to 1992.

The Whitman College Office of Communications records date from 1882 to 2012 and include directories, event calendars, news releases, photographs, and subject files on Whitman faculty.
