Greek life became a part of Whitman in the 1910s when the first greek groups were established, and remain an important part of the campus. This collection contains records of inter-Greek relations and events, as well as correspondence and documents from defunct groups.

The Interfraternity Council has existed since the inception of fraternities at Whitman in 1915 and governs inter-fraternity affairs on campus today. This collection contains publications, meeting minutes, memorabilia, and other documents related to the organization.

Kappa Alpha Theta is a national social sorority which was established as the Delta Delta chapter at Whitman College in 1957. The Kappa Alpha Theta collection consists of invitations, photographs, publications, memorabilia (including Kites), and student and alumni records related to the group.

The Gamma Gamma chapter of the social sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma has been a part of Whitman greek life since 1918, when it was chartered from the local social group, Beta Sigma. The Kappa Kappa Gamma collection contains news articles, invitations, publications, correspondence, student and alumni records and scrapbooks related to the sorority's history.

Materials related to the Whitman College chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon, an honorary musical society. The collection conatins scrapbooks, memorabilia and records related to the Mu Zeta chapter.

The Whitman College chapter of the National Panhellenic Conference governs all of the sororities on campus and hosts all inter-sorority events, including recruitment and Greekend. This collection contains objects pertinent to the Whitman Panhellenic Conference including recruitment information, news articles, correspondence, photographs and a variety of publications.

The Washington Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta was the first fraternity established at Whitman College in 1915. The collection consists of student and alumi records, publications, press, invitations, photographs and scrapbooks pertaining to the social fraternity.

The Phi Mu sorority resided at Whitman College from 1914 to 1955, holding the distinction of Whitman's first national Greek organization. The Phi Mu collection contains general records, correspondence, photographs, announcements and publications related to the sorority.

The national fraternity Sigma Chi has held a chapter at Whitman College since 1923. This collection contains correspondence, memorabilia, publications and news articles related to the group's history.
