Donald Meinig, born November 1, 1924 in Palouse, Washington, was a geographer. The Donald Meinig Papers, which date from 1838 to 1989, consist of awards, photographs, speeches and lectures, notes, personal correspondence, thesis and dissertation work, manuscripts, published works, negatives, land surveys, and maps.

The Whitman College collection of maps, prints, and paintings dates from 1799 to 2017, and contains materials relevant to researchers of the history of the Pacific Northwest, as well as Whitman College.
