James Maupin Cornelison Papers
The James Maupin Cornelison Papers span from 1910 through 1958. This collection includes the pamphlet "Weyekin Stories" and the typed manuscript of "The Seed of the Martyrs" by J. M. Cornelison, relating to Umatilla Indians and his missionary work. It also includes photocopies of Cornelison with other graduate students at the San Francisco Theological Seminary.
Clifford M. Drury Papers
The papers of Clifford M. Drury include correspondence, research files, newspaper clippings, photographs, and manuscripts, from 1922- 1984, specifically regarding his works on Marcus Whitman and other early Pacific Northwest missionaries. Clifford Merrill Drury had a noteworthy career as a pastor, seminary professor, historian, and Navy chaplain.
Reverend Jonathan Edwards Manuscript
The Reverand Jonathan Edwards Manuscript contains the manuscript for an autobiography written by Edwards circa 1927, titled "Memories of Eighty Years from Mines to Ministry: An Autobiography by Rev. Jonathan Edwards, D.D., for Forty Years a Home Missionary in the Pacific Northwest."
Cushing Eells Collection
The Cushing Eells Collection, which dates from 1821 to 1979, contains materials of and about Cushing Eells. Eells was a missionary and founded a seminary dedicated to Marcus Whitman, which became Whitman College. The collection contains original correspondence, the diary and the sermons of Cushing Eells, as well as current materials about his life, mission, and some materials created by his family.
William H. Gray Collection
The William H. Gray Collection, which dates from 1836 to 1972, consists of correspondence, writings, clippings, and books of William H. Gray, a Northwest pioneer, who served on the Oregon territorial legislature.
Lyda S. Houston Papers
The Lyda Houston Papers contains multiple booklets written in Chinese. This collection, which dates from 1928 through 1936, also consists of personal correspondence and photographs.
Arthur H. Smith Chinese Artifact Collection
The Arthur H. Smith Chinese Artifact Collection, which dates from circa 1700 to 1930, consists of hand-painted scrolls, poetry, and wall decorations. This collection, which spans from 1700 to 1930, also contains advertisements, calligraphy, and accordion codices. It also houses printed pamphlets of philosophy and ethics, and a small wooden abacus.
Spalding Family Collection
The Spalding Family Collection, which dates from 1832 to 1997, primarily holds the personal correspondence and writings of Protestant missionary Henry Harmon Spalding to the Oregon Territory during the nineteenth century. It also includes materials related to Eliza Hart Spalding, Rachel Smith Spalding, and Henry Hart Spalding.
Walker Family Papers
The Walker Family Papers contain correspondence, a translation, and letters. These papers, which date from 1846 through 1957, also contain biographical and diary accounts, obituaries, and memorial brochures.
Marcus and Narcissa Whitman collection
The Marcus and Narcissa Whitman collection contains materials related to Dr. Marcus Whitman and his wife, Narcissa Prentiss Whitman, who arrived in the Walla Walla Valley in 1836 where they established the Waiilatpu Mission and lived until they were massacred in 1847.
