Walla Walla 2020 was founded in 1988 as an organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life in the Walla Walla area. 2020 initially focused on creating a green, environmentally friendly, and community friendly city with a city center that respected heritage. The organization’s projects in Walla Walla include planting trees, creating parks, establishing curbside recycling, requesting bicycle paths, and restoration and recognition of historic homes and buildings around the area.
