Henry Broderick Papers
Scope and Contents
The Henry Broderick Papers consists of correspondence between Myron Eells and John Gill of the J. K. Gill Company regarding a Chinook dictionary, requests for historical material regarding Native American tribes and customs, and an order blank and prospectus for "Lamb's Biographical Dictionary of the United States." These papers, which span from 1875 through 1904, also include an application for membership as a Fellow of the Society of Science Letters and Art of London, samples of literary journals, and "A Story of the Northwest" by Mrs. L.A.M. Bosworth for "In Overland Monthly," January 1893.

Biographical Note
Henry Broderick was born in 1847 in England to Yetta Broderick. He immigrated to Walla Walla, Washington, where he worked as a photographer. He married Amelia Broderick, with whom he had two children, David and Minnie Broderick.
