Cartwright Family Papers
Scope and Contents
The Cartwright Family Papers consists of letters, invoices, receipts and copies of newspaper articles from "The Sprague Advocate" reporting the "Old Time Reminiscences: Pioneer Days of Steamboats and Railroads in Eastern Washington Territory" of Jack Cartwright, born in 1850 in Swinerton, England. Jack Cartwright worked on the Walla Walla and Columbia River railroad for over a decade in the late 1800s.
