Content Description This collection includes five photograph albums documenting Northwest history that were compiled circa 1941 by an unknown creator. The albums are housed in a matching leather chest that is embossed with imagery of a conestoga wagon on the front, a cowboy on the back, and a horse (“Red Dust”) jumping a fence on the top. The Starrett's Seed Company Records houses the personal and business records of George Starrett of Starrett’s Seed Company, which was in business between 1874 and 1958. Starrett’s Seed Company a Washington seed company and was one of the preeminent businesses of Walla Walla in the late 1800s, with its influence reaching across the Palouse region as far north as Pullman and as far west as Yakima.
