Materials related to the life of William D. Guernsey who wrote autobiographical stories, owned a printing business, worked for newspapers, was the son of Dayton, Washington pioneer D.C. Guernsey, and was a Whitman Academy alumnus.

Dora A. Opperman was born December 6, 1868 in Lewiston, Idaho. The Dora A. Opperman Scrapbook, which was created circa 1900, consists primiarly of newspaper clippings and photographs, mostly of Dayton and Walla Walla, Washington.

The Vance Orchard Papers contains subject files, research notes, newspaper clippings, and correspondence by Vance Orchard, a prolific journalist active in eastern Washington from 1951 to 1983. Orchard was a reporter for the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin for 32 years and a published author. This collection dates from 1945 to 2004.
