Frank C. Robinson Family Papers
Scope and Contents
The Frank C. Robinson Family Papers consist of Dr. Robinson's military career documents, biographical information, and certificates of membership and awards from medical organizations. This collection, which dates from 1875 through 1970, also contains documentation of Mrs. Robinson's many and varied activities in clubs and fraternal organizations, correspondence and numerous photographs.

Biographical Note
Francis (Frank) Crawford Robinson was born May 24, 1874 in Blandinsville, Illinois. He came to Walla Walla County with his parents in 1892. Dr. Robinson was educated in public schools, graduating from Waitsburg Academy with the class of 1897. The following year he entered Rush Medical College of Chicago, graduating at the head of the class of 1902. He served his internship in Chicago hospitals before returning to Walla Walla in 1905. There he married Jessie Adelle Morgan. Jessie was a pioneer pharmacist of Waitsburg. Jessie and Frank went to Vienna, Austria and there Frank took post-graduate work under eminent physicians and surgeons. In May, 1906 the Robinsons returned to Walla Walla and Frank opened an office here. In June, 1917, he entered the United States Medical Corps, serving as a captain during World War I. After the war, he returned to Walla Walla where he continued his practice until his death in 1937.
Adelle Morgan Robinson was born in Waitsburg, Washington October 28, 1878 and attended Normal School at Ellensburg and graduated from the University of Washington. She taught school in Pullman and Huntsville. Jessie was a member and active in many clubs and civic organizations, among them the Walla Walla Women's Reading Club, Archeological Society, Y.W.C.A., Walla Walla Symphony Society and the Knife and Fork Club. She was a trustee of the Washington State Federation of Women's Club Endowment Fund for a period of over thirty years. She was also active in the community during World War II, serving with the Red Cross and raising funds via war bonds.
