Marchers were advocating for policies and legislation concerning women's rights, immigration reform, climate change, healthcare reform, LGBTQ rights, racial equality, freedom of religion and workers' rights. The rallies were primarily aimed at Donald Trump immediately following his inauguration as President of the United States, in response to his statements and positions which were regarded by many as anti-women or offensive.
