Jake Baker photographs
Scope and Contents
The Jake Baker photographs contain images of a Mammoth dig near Gardena, Washington in 1966. The dig was led by W. Frank Scott of Washington State University and Richard Clem of Whitman College. The fossils uncovered in this dig were the first discovered in the Touchet Beds.
The collection also includes photographic prints and negatives which depict the Walla Walla City Bus line, owned and operated by Jake Baker. These materials are circa 1950s.

Jacob "Jake" William Baker was born in Oklahoma in 1922. He died in 2003 in Umatilla, Oregon.
