Biographical Note
Richard Hallowell Clem was born in 1925. He taught geology at Whitman College beginning in 1951. His two areas of research were Miocene intracanyon basalt flows and large Pleistocene mammals. He died in 1974 in Walla Walla, Washington, at age 49.
