The Gerald J. Tucker Manuscript contains the manuscript of Gerald J. Tucker’s "Pioneer Roads of the Blue Mountains" and a transcript of a speech delivered by Tucker in 1963 at the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Lincoln Mountain Road.

Biographical Note
Gerald J. Tucker was born on May 23, 1903 in Enterprise, Oregon. He was a U.S. Forest Service ranger for the Imnaha Snake District in Wallowa-Whitman. He was married to Grace Evelyn Tucker. Tucker died on August 4, 1978.
