The Clarence E. Neumeier Papers house the personal and professional records of Clarence Neumeier, mainly relating to his work with the United States Department of Agriculture and the United States Army Corps of Engineers. Biographical Note
Clarence E. Neumeier was born on October 8, 1907 in Gladbrooke, Iowa to Louis and Ida Neumeier. He graduated from Whitman College in 1929 and went to work for the government in Washington D.C. He returned to Walla Walla in 1948, where he was eployed as an economist at the Corps of Army Engineers until he retired in 1966. He married Mary Katherine Gurly on March 28, 1942. Neumeier died on October 17, 1980.
