The Edward L. Smith Papers, which dates from 1886 to 1918, contains letters between Edward L. Smith and Henrietta Baker. It also contains a yearbook gifted to Smith by his students at the former Easton Academy, a school in New Haven, Connecticut.

Biographical Note
Edward L. Smith was married to Rosalia Imogene Baker, the daughter of Dorsey Syng Baker. He attended the Yale University divinity school and later briefly served as a reverend in Walla Walla, Washington before moving to Seattle, Washington with his family.
