Biographical Note
Sidonie Louise Pyle was born on December 4, 1903. She attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington as an economics major and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She graduated from the College in 1922. She took on graduate work at the University of California, and later served as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1943 to 1945. She also worked as an insurance underwriter, served as a branch manager for a travel agency, and taught high school in Escondido, California. She died on March 11, 1989.
