Historical Note
The Sherwood Trust is a private, non-profit foundation which was established in 1991 by Donald and Virginia Sherwood in order to ensure that “their lifelong commitment to the Walla Walla Valley would continue in perpetuity.” Their stated focus is on strategic, entrepreneurial, effective, and encouraging philanthropy in order to promote development of leadership ability, organizational strength, community togetherness, and economic standing.
