Scope and Contents
The Port C. Martin Photograph collection houses the personal photographs of United States Navy Reserves Captain Port Martin. These photographs, which dates from December 1942 through October 1943, consists of scans of photographs taken during a tour of duty in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska, onboard the Minesweeper YMS 125. The scans have been annotated by Martin.

Biographical Note
Captain Port C. Martin served in the United States Navy during World War Two, spending a tour of duty removing naval mines from the Pacific Ocean surrounding the Aleutian Islands. From 1942 through 1943, he captained the Minesweeper YMS 125. After the war, he remained in the Navy Reserves, retiring shortly thereafter.
