The Alice Reynolds Fischer scrapbook is filled with mementos from Alice Fischer’s musical career. It includes concert programs, announcements, song books, and newspaper clippings dating from 1900 to 1948. Biographical Note

Alice Reynolds Fischer was born in 1878, and attended the University of Michigan where she graduated with a degrees in piano and voice in 1901. She was the Whitman College instructor of piano-forte and voice, and also served as the Walla Walla Symphony conductor from 1924 until 1934 after her husband’s sudden death. She died in 1945.
