Scope and Contents
The Myron Eells Collection contains articles, books, and manuscripts. This collection, which dates from 1848 through 1998, also consists of correspondence, speeches and sermons. There is also a series of six scrapbooks, "The Indians of Puget Sound," which contain drawings, photographs and detailed descriptions of Eells' version of the life and culture of those with whom he worked and lived. This collection also includes travel journals, census reports, books and pamphlets in Pacific Northwest Indian languages, and the Eells family Bible.
