Don't Bend Walla Walla, 1993 - 2007

 Series

Scope and Contents

The Don’t Bend Walla Walla series includes records regarding opposition to the Pennbrook Homes’ Illahee Project. The Illahee Project’s goal was to build upwards of 300 homes, a golf course, hotel, and restaurants in anticipation of a population increase, which caused tension among Walla Walla citizens who wanted it to remain a small town. The series contains newspaper clippings, compact discs, interview notes, statements from Barbara Clark, legal documents and other planning documents, dating from 1993 to 2007.
