Ben Flathers and Lloyd Rittenhouse were contemporaries and friends at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, both graduating circa 1936. The Ben Flathers and Lloyd Rittenhouse Papers, most of which dates from 1905 to 1963, contains portraits, team photographs, group photographs, and some newspaper clippings related to the shipping, packing, and lumber industries and the Washington State Penitentiary.
